I booked this trip knowing that I might have problems in hooking up with the Captain. As my wife and I were on a Great Lakes cruise i had no idea about the docking situation but he assured me he was familiar with the area and we would work something out. True to his word, he did. I was picked up and delivered back to the dock in plenty of time so as to not be left in Port Colborn as the ship cruised away. We left the ramp around 1pm and ran to his spot, set up rods for trolling and right away hooked up and lost probably the biggest fish on the day. But the day was young and we carried on and landed easily 20 walleyes, probably closer to 30 as we lost count. At one point we were trolling 5 lines and all 5 were aboard as the fish were hitting so quickly that setting up the previous rod was impossible. As I was reeling one in another was already hooked up and waiting to be hauled to the boat. As I said, we caught between 20-30 but that didn’t include the dozen or so that pulled off before the net. I can’t say enough good things about Jason. He truly loves his craft and is very good at it. We had a phenomenal day of fishing, telling stories and getting to know one another, I feel as though I made a friend. In fact, if I lived in the area I would want to fish with him on a regular basis, not just for the catching but the camaraderie. He is knowledgeable , friendly, and personable. The equipment is top shelf, all level wind reels and trolling rods, all very new and in perfect working order. I had hoped to establish my personal best walleye and did. I predominantly fish for bass other than the occasional trip to Pymatuning Lake so walleye are usually an accidental catch but the 6.5 pounder we landed made my day. In fact we had 2 over 6# and several between 3.5 and 5, most landing in the 2.5-3.5# range. I can’t recommend Captain Jason enough. You will have a fantastic trip with him, and he will work endlessly to see that you have the best experience possible. If I ever get in the area again I will most assuredly look him up for a trip.

Husband and I absolutely loved being on the water and fishing with Jason. He had awesome, high tech equipment that helped us find fish. Our captain was also funny and super knowledgeable! He helped us beginners and that made us feel so much better about catching these bigger fish! We already talked about a future trip with Jason, next time we want to do Lake Erie. I would highly recommend this charter to anyone who wants to catch fish and have a good time on the water.

Thank you again Jason! The weather this season has been terrible and Jason made up for it, was amazing with rescheduling, and he wanted us to catch a fish as much as we did! We seriously couldn’t recommend a better captain, definitely will be booking here again
