Snook, Redfish, Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Black Drum, Bluefish, Catfish, Flounder, Scamp Grouper, African Pompano Jack, Jack Crevalle, Snapper, Grouper, Mahi Mahi, and more could be biting if you cast your line at the right time of year. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Colton also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don't forget to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your fishing machine for the day is a Triton 22' Bay boat with space for 4 adults or 5 passengers with kids. It has a fighting chair, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Colton will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask, and your captain can tell you more.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in non-glass containers if preferred.

Wonderful Day on the Water with Capt. Colton!
From start to finish, our trip with Colton Hester of Vero Beach Fishing Charters was nothing short of amazing. Capt. Colton was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the local waters. He put us right on the fish almost immediately, and his tips throughout the day helped even the beginners in our group hook into some great catches.
