Depending on conditions and time of year, you might hook into Chinook Salmon, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Coho Salmon, Lake Trout. On these trips, you can expect to troll using light tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so notify the captain if children are coming out on the water.
Capt. Jordan runs a 18' Alumacraft aluminum fishing boat with capacity for 3 passengers. It comes with downriggers, rod trees, and all the trolling equipment needed for a productive day on the water.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is available online at WI GoWild. To fish Lake Michigan you need a general fishing license as well as a Great Lakes Stamp.
It's recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
This is a charter for Lake Michigan. Much like the ocean, wind greatly affects the fishability of the lake. For safety reasons, if the waves are forecasted too large for the charter date, be advised rescheduling may be required. Often forecasting models can accurately let us know how fishable the lake will be 3-5 days in advance.

Half Day Trip – Weekend (Mid-Day)
Great trip with Captain Ziegler!
From the minute I booked we had great communication with our captain about wind and weather conditions and very specifically where to meet. We met Jordan about 15 minutes before our charter and were out on the water perfectly on time. We came home with 2 brown trout and two king salmon. Jordan is SO knowledgeable about where to fish, water temp, lures etc. He was awesome and friendly and outgoing and overall just fun. At the end of our charter he cleaned and bagged our fish to bring home and gave us suggestions how to prepare it. I highly recommend fishing with Captain Ziegler.

Knowledgeable and Skilled
Captain Zeigler was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the lake. The first spot we tried that had worked for him last week wasn’t working for me. Realizing this he made the quick decision to take the lines in and switch spots. After this change the fish would not stop biting! In-between bites he would share his knowledge about the fish, lake, and general Milwaukee area, which made even the downtime enjoyable. He was also willing to make additional accommodations for what to do with the caught fish as I was not able to transport them myself. I would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area.

Morning Salmon Trip
Capt. Jordan is awesome! He was an amazing teacher considering this was my first time salmon fishing on Lake Michigan. He was super flexible and timely and very knowledgeable. Boat was the perfect size for a small party of 2-3. Everything was well organized and set up for us making our trip fun and enjoyable! You can definitely tell he’s got this down to a science! We went trolling for salmon in the morning and were able to catch 6 Kings and 7 Coho for our party of three. Not to mention, he got some amazing photos for us! Definitely recommend his charter service!

Great memories!
Jordan did a great job! One of the younger Charter Captains I have used, but don’t let his age fool you. Jordan is an avid outdoorsman who is very knowledgeable. We purposely chose this boat because we only had 3 fishermen in our party and wanted the boat to ourselves. We are already discussing our next trip and will be booking with CNR Charters.

Amazing trip and guide
Jordan was awesome! He was super friendly and enthusiastic! He explained everything he was doing and answered all of our questions. Fishing was excellent, bite got crazy at sunset and we went home with nearly 30 lbs of filets. At the going rate of salmon, the trip pays for itself in the fish you bring home! Even when the bite was slow we had great time hanging out on the boat and chatting with Jordan. Overall I would 10/10 recommend you book with him. Will 100% be booking again next season!!
