Book your next trip with Tennessee Fishing Excursions and find out what makes the fishing in Rockwood so unique. Having logged many hours on this river, Captain Sean can tell you all about them.
Local species include Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Striped Bass, White Bass, Catfish, Flathead, Freshwater Drum, Hybrid Striped Bass, Sauger, Walleye, and more, depending on the time of year. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Sean also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to keep up those energy levels!
Capt. Sean operates a 24' SeaArk aluminum fishing boat with space for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, it will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Your trip with Tennessee Fishing Excursions is just a click away, so why not make it happen?
