I've been fishing Liberty Reservoir for over 35 years as it is my home Reservoir. 25 of those years have been on my own boat, targeting every species that swim in this beautiful Reservoir. This fishery has it all, grass, rocks, trees, brush piles, beaver dens, gravel banks, points, deep clear water, you name it.

We will be casting artifical lures to and around these structures targeting whatever species you have in mind. Light to med/heavy tackle spinning gear/baitcasters. Feel free to bring your favorite rods, which I recommend. Knowing your gear and comfort is a key to success.

Liberty Reservoir is popular for GIANT Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, GIANT Striped Bass, Crappie, White Perch, and more. Numerous state records have come from this Reservoir. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Mark also offers fly fishing, but you will need to supply all your gear including lures.

Your boat for the day is an 18' Lowe aluminum fishing boat with room for 2 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures.

Before coming aboard, you're required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits, so make sure you know what to expect.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, sun-block, beverages of choice/bottled water, food/snacks, No Alcohol, cooler is provided on boat. Rain gear for inclement weather. If booking a trip in Nov/Dec have base layers and enough cold gear to get you through the duration of the trip. Hats, gloves, hand/toe warmers etc….
