Spend the day with Charlie Hookem and get hooked on fishing in Cape Coral!
You're likely to go after Snook, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Goliath Grouper, Gag Grouper, Cobia, Tarpon, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Peacock Bass, Largemouth Bass, and more with any luck. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
You'll be casting lines from a 23' Sea Born center console with space for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Charlie will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Charlie Hookem.
