Fish the productive waters of Freeport with Captain Lou aboard Theboribite, a 26’ center console built for performance and comfort. With over 25 years of experience fishing the NYC and Freeport area, Capt. Lou knows these waters inside and out and is dedicated to making every trip exciting and memorable.
Depending on the season, you’ll have the chance to target a variety of species including Bluefish, Tautog, Seabass (Black), Bass (Striped), Cod, Shark (Thresher), Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Tuna (Bluefin), Scup (Porgy), Tuna (Yellowfin), Bonito, Flounder, and more. You can expect to use a range of techniques such as trolling, casting, jigging, and bottom fishing, giving anglers of all skill levels plenty of action.
All rods, reels, tackle, licenses, and refreshments are included, so you can focus on fishing. Live bait may be available — just be sure to ask the captain in advance.
Families are always welcome aboard, and appropriate safety gear is provided for all ages. You’re free to bring drinks and snacks, and alcohol is allowed in moderation (no glass bottles or hard liquor recommended). No need to bring big bulky coolers—there are plenty of insulated fish boxes for your catch and beverages on board. A First Mate may be onboard to assist, and a 20% tip is customary to show appreciation for their work.
Your captain will make sure you’re fishing within all local regulations, seasons, and limits, so you can relax and enjoy your time on the water.

Absolute amazing Captain and crew. Beyond knowledgeable of our fishery and went above and beyond for my fishing trip to put us on fish. Nothing but great laughs and an even better time. One of the hardest working men I know. I will definitely be booking him this coming season for multiple trips targeting different species of fish. Seen you soon Capt!! Tight Lines!!

I booked a full day canyon trip with Louie. Ended up 120 miles south east of Jones but felt comfortable with all the safety equipment Louie has on the boat. We landed multiple yellow fin tunas, mahi, and tile fish. Did so well that we ran out of room in the fish box. I will be booking Louie and the boribite once a summer for a tuna trip.
Went out on a Bay Trip with Capt Lou last summer. A couple drifts in I landed my PB Bay Fluke just shy of 8lbs! Not only does this guy know his way around the south shore, he also knows how to have a good time. If you are looking for a good laugh and great memories look no further than the BoriBite!
