At 1 Fathom Sportfishing Charters, you’re not just booking another fishing trip, you’re booking an experience that you will remember for the rest of your life. Exploring South Florida’s inshore and offshore waterways is an immersive experience, full of incredible scenery, wildlife, and most importantly, incredible fishing! Captain CJ takes it upon himself to make sure you experience all of what this fishery has to offer.
Capt. CJ operates a 20' NauticStar bay boat that holds up to 3 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included is always included as long as it is available.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and a hat. Bottled water will be available for you, but feel free to bring your own drinks. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just please avoid hard liquor until you step off the boat.

Unforgettable Day on the Water
I can’t say enough good things about our fishing trip with Captain CJ — hands down one of the best charter experiences I’ve ever had. From the minute we stepped on the boat, it was clear CJ knew the water like the back of his hand. We landed a solid mix of species including a couple of personal bests. He adjusted our spots based on tide and water conditions to keep the action going, and wow, it paid off. He worked hard to make sure you leave with great memories and sore arms. CJ was professional and clearly passionate about what he does. He took the time to answer any questions we had on gear, bait, and techniques, so even the less experienced folks in our group felt confident and had a blast. I can’t recommend Captain CJ enough. I’ll definitely be booking with him again. Thanks again, that was one for the books! 🎣🔥

4 Hour Inshore AM Fishing Trip
Awesome trip!
Captain CJ was very knowledgeable, personable, and helpful! Spent the morning nearshore fishing with him. My 16 yo son had a blast! Not only did we catch some awesome fish, but enjoyed the trip and the marine life (saw sea turtle, dolphin, and all kinds of fish, including a Goliath grouper!) I would highly recommend Captain CJ if you are a serious fisherman, or experiencing a charter for the first time! He will make your experience exceptional!!

Went out on a 4 hour trip and was treated to an EXCELLENT time! Captain CJ is very knowledgable and experienced and is an absolute witch with his ability to find the big fish! The level of care he puts into his tackle and equipment made us confident we would never lose any of the fish we hooked onto. Will wholeheartedly endorse this charter!
