Planning your fishing trip in Saranac Lake just got easier, thanks to Fly Fishing.

You won't have to travel far to fish these backcountry waters, including some spots that only a local can show you.

Your guide specializes in fly fishing, and that's what you can expect on the day of your trip.

These waters are known for Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Atlantic Salmon, Brook Trout, Largemouth Bass, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before "Fish on!"

Fish within size and bag limits are yours to keep. Now that's a fresh meal! Andrew can take groups as large as 8 on this guided experience. You'll be fishing without a boat, so expect to make your way on foot at least part of the time and come dressed for current weather conditions.

Your fishing license for the day is not included, so members of your group may need to buy one . You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. You're encouraged to dress in layers and the proper footwear (if you aren't sure what that means, just ask). It's never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunblock, and sunglasses in any weather conditions.

This is a kid-friendly experience, so feel free to bring the whole family along and pack any extras they need. Remember to ask if child-sized life vests are available; otherwise, you'll have to bring your own.
