Spend the day with North Tasmania Fishing Charters and see what's biting in Kelso! When you Fish the Tamar River system with Skipper Adam at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.

Depending on the time of year will depend where we launch, in the Tamar River you might hook into the notorious trophy size XL Tamar King George Whiting, Gummy, Black Bream, Flathead, Trevally and Australian Salmon. Offshore species which may be encountered are mixed Sharks, Snapper, School and Jumbo Bluefin Tuna.

Inland freshwater charters often produce trophy Rainbow and Brown Trout, Atlantic Salmon and anything else that bites.

On these trips, it's common to troll, fly fish, spin jig, and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Capt. Adam runs a 18' Polyethylene Center console with ample space for 4 passengers. The craft is licensed for 6 passengers, however is kept to smaller numbers for your comfort. It is extremely stable, safe, quiet and soft riding. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. It has ample iced fish storage, stowage space for your rods, day bags etc. Mounted to the bow is a powerful electric trolling motor to get you and keep you into the perfect spots in silence.

Rods and reels are covered by the charter, also ask the captain about bringing your own favorite combo. Bait and drinks provided, also food can be provided on request at additional cost.

Before coming aboard, you'll be presented with a mandatory safety induction. For fresh water (Trout) you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. Some species may be off limits or be out of season. This information is easily available online, you are 100% encouraged to ask the captain if you have a specific query.

It's a good idea to bring a hat, beanie, warm wind blocking coat, sunblock, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, Alcohol is not allowed.

Adam, Skipper/captain, was kind, helpful in sourcing suncream for us, changed fishing site plans depending upon the weather, even changed days to allow for calmer weather when fishing. we caught 7 good sized whiting and more than 5 other varieties. we targeted fish thst i have never caught specifically, as i asked for that. which was responsive to iur needs. and our fish were scaled and gutted for us. thank you Adam. great value trip and great tasting fish were taken home.
