Spend the day with Delta Charters and Custom Rods and let them show you what makes the fishing in St. Bernard so memorable!
Flounder, Redfish, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, and more can be found in these waters, depending on the season.
For these species, you're likely to drift and bottom fish using light tackle.
Delta Charters and Custom Rods welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your excursion begins aboard a 24' Center console with capacity for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
