We started out on a shark trip. But, because the weather was so nice Capt Bobby suggested we move around some and keep our options open. We started off catching sand trout for bait and then progressed offshore a little. We ended up catching four Cobia, a limit of Red Snapper and a giant ray. Capt Bobby is very experienced and knowledgeable. When he found out this trip was a going away present for my son that had joined the Marines he decided to make this a trip of a lifetime. He took us on a quick tour of the warships in the area and then successfully put us on fish in several different settings. It was a truly amazing and unexpected day. I highly recommend this guide.

Captain Bobby Hall, our guide, was professional, courteous, conscience, great company, and all round good person. He went out of his way to make sure that we were as comfortable as he could with the rain. He definitely knew his stuff. He kept us ahead of the storm and he knew where the fish were biting. And BOY were they! Our grandson caught a Trophy Trout and made a video! We had a thoroughly enjoyable Father’s Day. We could not have ask for a better host or better memories. Great day all around. My son and I had an amazing day having the opportunity to fish with Captain Bobby. Captain Bobby, our guide, ensured our safety during the unpredictable weather conditions. Due to the inclement weather, we had to make an unexpected stop in the middle of our trip. Once the weather cleared and he felt confident, he took us back out to fulfill our desire to catch a shark. We had previously caught a big stingray before the weather turned, so this was a much-anticipated catch. Captain Bobby had an eventful start to his day and managed to get us on a shark before the end. I highly recommend Second Chance Charters.

Contitions were rough. Rain thedain prior saturated the bay with fresh water. red tide didnt help either. Captain Bobby was awesome. He did everything he could to cach fish. NOBODY was cactching anything. Captain Bobby kept us outlnger than he should have. I will definitely go back outwith Captain Bobby. Our kids had a great time and that was his goal.

Bobby greeted us at the dock. He was very friendly and told us what we could anticipate for the day. He was very helpful and a perfect gentleman the whole time. He even got everyone casting by themselves when they were comfortable with it and if they wanted to. The boat was clean and he already had a few different types of fishing rods ready for different types of fishing for us to try for the duration of the trip. We really enjoyed our day with Captain Bobby.

First time trip for our young boys (8-13) and they absolutely loved it! The captain was super kid friendly and appropriate and helped them all along the way. He was so attentive to even when they started to turn a little green faced on the water he shifted the plan to still make the trip memorable. He even took them on a side quest after and they cant stop talking about it. Thank you so much for your kindness Captain Bobby!

captain bobby was so awesome. I took my son on his 1st charter for his 8th birthday. Captain Bobby was really engaged in helping him catch some fish and really showed us a great time, we will remember it forever! thank you for the awesome trip and putting us on some fish Captain Bobby! will definitely book again! the boat was nice, his gear was well maintained and he operated in a very safe manner. 10/10 would recommend

Captin Bobby was very pleaseant. He explained what we were going to be doing and showed us how everything worked. From showing us how to bait our hooks and making sure we had bait on them to showing us how to build some sharks rigs. He also made sure to keep us on fish and moved when the bite slowed or when only the “dinks” were biting. He will definitely be giving him a call next time we are in Galveston for sure!

caught lots of fish, put some fish in the box. Caught sharks, red fish, and got to catch our own bait fish which was a lot of fun and helped the people in our group get used to casting wne setting the hook. 5 Stars!
