Honor Sportfishing
Honor Sportfishing has a trip with your name on it along the stunning waters of Oregon Inlet North Carolina. Captain Mike Edwards will be your guide, bringing aboard years of sportfishing experience.
These waters are known for Yellowfin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, White Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Tilefish, Wahoo, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Skipjack Tuna, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before "Fish on!"
On the day of your trip you're likely to start out trolling a combination of dead bait and artificial lures using heavy or light tackle depending on the targeted species and time of year. We may als bait Mahi, Mahi or bottom fish for tilefish. Additional tactics like kite fishing and green stick fishing may also be utilized.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks, and drinks.
Your vessel for the day is a 53' Monterey sportfishing vessel with room for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Awesome time on Honor Sportfishing!!
We had a fantastic time with Honor Sportfishing yesterday. Both the captain and the mate were friendly and knowledgeable. They reached out to us the evening before to make sure we were comfortable with finding the boat at the marina and what time to meet at the dock. They were already set up and ready to go when we arrived. We had a group of 3 adults and 2 kids. There was plenty of room for us and our stuff. Kind of a slow day for other boats, but Captain Mike had us catching Mahi by sunrise. We really appreciated how organized everything was, the teamwork, and attention to safety.

I cannot recommend this charter enough! From start to finish, everything about our trip was top-notch. The crew was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we felt comfortable and confident the entire time. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a first-timer, they made it easy and fun for everyone. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and clearly maintained with care. We caught a ton of fish and learned so much along the way — the crew really went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. They knew exactly where to go and were constantly working to keep the lines moving and energy high. This trip was the highlight of my Outer Banks vacation. If you’re unsure where to look for a fishing charter, Honor Sportfishing is the way to go. These folks have the whole package. The captain and mate have many years of experience combined and definitely proved that on my family’s trip off shore. They had rods and bait ready to go when we got to the dock early that morning. Everything was clean and organized for us. You could tell the team worked well together because we were quick to get a bite and catch yellowfin tunas. This was an amazing day to say the least. Thanks guys for your hard work!

Great day out fishing!
Recently went on a charter with Captain Mike and his crew and the experience was great! I took my sons and we all really enjoyed our time out on the water. I have some experience fishing, but my young sons are new to it and the professionalism of the crew was fantastic they taught us all so much. Caught lots of fish and everyone was so nice. The boat ride was fun and we felt very safe. We were well taken care of on this trip. I definitely recommend this to anyone new or experienced with fishing!

Half day trip with the crew
We chose to take this charter out at the beginning of the season, around late April, and it was so awesome. Super beautiful out on the water, extremely knowledgeable and fun crew, great experience, and excellent fishing! The boat was really clean and it’s clear that this crew cares about their boat upkeep a lot. I’m a less experienced fisher so it was really great to have the crew share so much about the fish we were catching. Would highly recommend!
