Welcome to Ios Island in Greece, where the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas intertwine to create a paradise for fishing lovers. Let’s Go Fishing are waiting to take you on an exciting and absolutely stunning trip around this picturesque island, which boasts beautiful scenery and crystal clear water.
Their 28’ Boston Whaler boat ‘Daskalos’ is powered by twin 300HP Yamaha V6 engines, and is equipped with Lowrance and Garmin navigational equipment. It can accommodate up to ten anglers, and features a flybridge, downriggers, quality fishing gear, as well as snorkeling equipment. It is also fitted with a toilet, shower, kitchen with refrigerator, BBQ, multimedia system and air-conditioning.
The crew at Let’s Go Fishing are here to teach you a range of techniques, including trolling and drift fishing, as well as the Japanese technique ‘Inchiku’: slow jigging with special slim rods. They offer half and full day trips on the inshore or offshore waters, and will get you targeting Barracuda, Albacore Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack and more. Trips include the use of all fishing gear, and the crew will also provide you with food, water and other refreshments. If you’re lucky, you may even encounter some Dolphins or Sea Turtles on the day trips.
In Ios, not only will you feel like you are fishing in paradise, but the high content of salt in these waters also makes the seafood exceptionally tasty. Overfishing in the area has, unfortunately, resulted in the dramatic reduction of many sea species, but there are still lots of exciting game fish waiting to be reeled in. The famous summer winds (Meltemi) can sometimes make it difficult to head out on a trip, but can also give a wild beauty to your fishing adventure that you can’t experience everywhere.
While on vacation, why not spend the day with this energetic and experienced crew. Live the fascination and total freedom with your friends or family!
