Located in beautiful Central New York, Chittenango Creek provides countless opportunities for freshwater fly fishing. Wild Brown Trout in the 18-20” range are frequently caught. The season for this creek is short, and we only fish it from March - Early June. Water level fluctuates regularly depending on the year and is always monitored to ensure the fish stay protected. Euro Nymphing is the main tactic we use here. With the free flowing water, gradient changes and pocket water, Euro Nymphing is a great way to present a fly to these fish where other tactics would struggle. If you want to learn how to tight line nymph or brush up on your tight line game, join me for a trip on Chittenango Creek.
