Lower Sacramento River Float Trips
Wild Trout. Big Water. Bigger Smiles.
Spend a full day floating the iconic Lower Sacramento River with Give Me Some Fin, chasing hard-fighting wild rainbow trout in one of California’s most productive year-round fisheries.
Your trip begins just after sunrise at a convenient launch site near Redding or Anderson. After a quick safety briefing (life jackets provided for kids under 12), we’ll hit the water in a comfortable drift boat or raft. Expect premium gear, dialed-in rigs, and hands-on instruction tailored to your experience level—whether you’re a seasoned angler or casting for the first time.
The Lower Sac is a tailwater gem, known for consistent flows, prolific insect hatches, and powerful trout that often push 16–22 inches. You’ll spend the day working classic riffles, deep seams, and soft edges while taking in the scenery—views of Redding, wildlife sightings, and the steady rhythm of the river.
Midday, we’ll break for a relaxed riverside lunch before jumping back into the action. If conditions allow, we may even switch things up and target rising fish with dry flies during a hatch.
Throughout the float, your guide is there to coach, net fish, swap flies, and keep things fun. Our trips are designed to be low-stress, high-reward—perfect for solo anglers, friends, or families looking for a memorable day on the water.
You’ll step off the river tired, happy, and with a story (or five) to tell.
