These waters are known for White Perch, Hybrid Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, White Bass, Spotted Bass, Crappie, Striped Bass, and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few! Lake Hartwell is an amazing fishery for stripers/hybrids. Hartwell is a year round fishery but it fishes especially well December to the end of July. On the day of your trip you're likely to jig using light tackle.

Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to keep their stamina going!

Your adventure begins aboard a 25' custom Hell's Bay bay boat with capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don't leave home without sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
