With 18 Years of fishing experience and 6 of them working for top of the line operations out of San Diego, Captain Danny is ready to make your trip count with knowledge, experience and confidence. Having competed in the Saltwater Bass Series since 2019, he has accumulated 4 Wins and 10 top 3 finishes to go along with 3 big fish honors. Calico Bass, Sand Bass and Spotted Bay bass fishing is his strength and has no problem with the other fisheries as well. He is a 6th Generation Oceanside Native and can't wait to share his local knowledge and experience with you on the waters of Southern California.
Our Vessel is a Yellowfin 32 Offshore rigged to the T with twin Mercury Verado 400 V10 Outboard motors that will get you to and from the zone efficiently and safely. 16" inch Garmin electronics and JLA sound system to jam out all day long. Rhodan Trolling motor has an elite gps anchoring system to keep us on the spot.
Ice, Water, Tackle, Fish cleaning, and StarLink is included on all trips
Please bring your favorite sun block as well as clothing for warm and cold conditions. If you feel like you may get sea sick, take seasick medication the night before or hours before the trip. Bring your favorite food and drink, no glass bottles please, and alcohol is allowed but not included.

Epic tuna fishing with Captain Dan!
12 Hour Trip – Tuna Hunt on July 17, 2025
Booked this full day trip with Hola Cappy in hopes to see a tuna and we were given a trip of a lifetime! The fish were everywhere and there was no lack of excitement on the boat! The boat and the crew are top notch on top of the fact we caught 7 Bluefin and one away from limits! Beyond stoked, and highly recommend Hola Cappy Charters. We will be back to fish with Dan as we are wishing the trip never ended! No one in Oceanside compares to this operation!

9 Hour Trip – Fishing Adventure on July 12, 2025
Such an awesome experience from the beginning of the trip to the end! The captain was phenomenal and very knowledgeable, the boat ride in a bean bag was super comfortable(coming from someone who had hip surgery a few days following the trip), and we had some killer fishing! Even got to wrangle my fish from a sea lion - talk about dinner & a show!! Will be giving him a call the second my doctor gives me the go ahead to start fishing again!

Took the boys out on their first ocean fishing trip and it couldn’t have gone any better! Lines hit the water and boom—everyone was reeling in fish right away. Having been born and raised in Oceanside, he is very familiar with the waters and fishery in Southern California. He has worked for Ryan Bostian and Matt Bralla from the San Diego and Bill Cavanaugh and Sam Moore on the Intrepid. Working and learning on the best big sport fishing operations in San Diego, he is more than ready and eager to share his experience with others on the water. It doesn't matter if you are a rookie or a vet in the realm of fishing, our goal is to make the best of what is thrown at us on the water and always have a smile on our faces.
