Big Al's Offshore - Just Joan
Big Al's Offshore - Just Joan is here to show you the stunning waters of Corpus Christi. Your guide for the day is Captain Allen, bringing aboard their angling experience.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Blue Marlin, Cobia, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Sailfish, Red Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Blacktip Shark, Wahoo, Amberjack, Jack Crevalle, White Marlin, King Mackerel (Kingfish), and plenty more.
During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Allen also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Capt. Allen welcomes children aboard, so get 'em offline and onto the water! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. You're welcome to bring snacks!
Your boat for the day is a 41' Cruiser with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Fuel surcharges may be required, depending upon fuel price at time of trip.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Big Al's Offshore - Just Joan.

this was my family's first trip going off shore. once we got out to the fishing grounds we caught a Nice size barracuda, tuna, and two mahi-mahi in 30 minutes. but a marine alert came and we had to come back closer to shore ending our trip on the fishing grounds. It was a fast and furious 30 minutes. definitely want to do this again. the Captain and crew did a great job. but you don't control the weather.

Joshua Glad you enjoyed the trip. Was a bummer that the squall line forced us to leave the fish and head in towards shore. The gulf can turn into a very challanging situation very quickly. I always put everyones safety first. I hope you enjoy some delicious meals with the Tuna and Mahi. Look forward to seeing you out on the water in the future. Capt. Allen
had a great day- caught a variety of fish including mahi, barracuda, blackfin tuna, and bonita, and still had time to wrestle some monster sharks captain and crew knowledgeable , professional and personable would definetly book again

Chris, it was a pleasure taking your group out on the Gulf. Was a good variety of species you caught. The big Bull shark is new record shark for the boat. I estimate it was 9 to 10 foot and 300 to 400 Lbs. Was cool that each of the 3 boys were able to catch a shark. The first was a spinner shark, 2nd was a Sandbar, 3rd was a Bull. Hope to see you again. Capt. Allen

was able to catch our limit on red snapper crew was supper awesome will be booking again in the future.

Gerardo, was a pleasure taking you guys out. I really enjoyed helping several first time ever fisherman catch a bunch on snapper. Was a great day on the gulf, calm seas and was cool getting to see a large turtle up close.

Captain Al was fantastic and suoer friendly. he worked very hard to help us catch fish! I would highly recommend him for a trip!

Was a fun day, and a pleasure to have met you all. Capt. Allen
The offshore fishing trip with Big Al (Captain Allen) and his First Mate (Camden) was excellent. He took me and my son Carson on his relatively big boat (forgot the exact size) and we went about 55 miles offshore from Corpus Christi. We were able to catch a King Fish, a Mahi, a Red Snapper, and an Atlantic Sharp Nose Shark. On the way back to shore, a storm occurred and the two-foot waves became seven-foot waves. The boat bounced around and the water splashed us. It reminded me of the Intro to Gilligan's Island:). The Captain and his First Mate steered the boat safely to shore. Not only are they great at handling the boat and fishing, but they are friendly, very helpful, and great conversationists. We not only came away with a number of great fish, but left with great memories. Thank you Captain Allen and Camden! I definitely would recommend this fishing charter!

It was a fun day. Boat is 41 overall length. Was quite the squall that came up. Glad you guys had fun. Thanks Capt. Allen
