Big Adventure Charters
If you're going to cast a line in Orange Beach, look no further than Big Adventure Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Brian can tell you all about the local fishery.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Vermilion Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, Red Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Amberjack, Gray Triggerfish, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Blue Marlin, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Scamp Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Skipjack, and plenty more. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Brian also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to keep their stamina going!
Capt. Brian runs a 58' Aqua Bay Marine walkaround with space for 38 passengers. It comes with outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Lunch is provided, just reach out to learn more, especially if you have any dietary needs.

Our annual family fishing trip and Captain Brian was able to accommodate our group of 20 on the Big Adventure. Captain Brian & crew were great. We caught our limit in Red Snapper. This trip we great for my family. From my youngest grandson of 11 years to mmyself. the grandpa. The crew keep up with taking fish off and bait our lined. We have fish the Gulf of America for over 10 years & this was the best ever.

Thanks so much for the incredible review, Steven! It was an absolute pleasure hosting your family on the Big Adventure. Taking out a group of 20 ranging from your 11-year-old grandson to yourself is exactly what family fishing is all about. Hearing that this was your best trip in over a decade of fishing the Gulf means the world to the crew and me. We’re thrilled we could help you all limit out on Red Snapper, and we look forward to making this an annual tradition for years to come! Safe travels until next time!

Thanks for fishing with us, Troy. Hitting a double limit on both Snapper and beeliners is a milestone day for us this year, and it was great watching the rest of your guys have such an absolute blast filling up the coolers. As we discussed at the dock, managing expectations on fish size is part of the game, but your crew proved that a heavy box is a massive win. For a newer business like ours, a 4-star review on a flawless, maximum-limit trip really dings up our momentum. We always aim for a perfect 5-star experience, and while it was clear the rest of your group walked up the dock with 5-star smiles, we'll keep grinding. Enjoy the fresh catch!"
Helped my dad on his boat since I was 14 in 2010. Got my captain's license in 2015. Been fishing in the Gulf of Mexico (America) since I was about four years old. We've fished together ever since. Deep-rooted family-owned business. I have my own boat now and still help him when I'm not on my boat. Been in the family for years now, family business is the best kind. I would always recommend a day trip over anything shorter; you have more options and more time to fish. My favorite fish is a red snapper; they've taken good care of me and my family over the years. I want to take good care of the red snapper.
