These waters are known for Great Barracuda, Spotted Seatrout, Jack Crevalle, Black Drum, Goliath Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Snook, Blacktip Shark, Redfish, Tarpon, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some. You can expect to do some spinning, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Damian also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

Capt. Damian operates a 23' Sea Hunt bay boat with space for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

Don't forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is not allowed.

And that's it! Your fishing trip with Catchin In The Keys Charters is just a click away.

An Amazing Day on the Reefs
3 Hour Scenic Fishing Tour. AM Trip on August 3, 20264 adults

Captain Damian is The Man!!! My goodness he had us on the bite, helped us all so much keeping the rods baited, if we didnt haul in a fish we hauled in an empty hook!!! We had three very novice fisherman in our group and they were not novice for long. We caught red snapper, yellow fin snapper, mutton snapper, hog fish, progie and some nice sized jacks. We also lost 4 or so to the hungy barracuda…oceans alive!!!If you are thinking about a fishing trip in Key Largo think no longer and book with Captain Damian!!!

Best Trip and Best Captain
2 Hour Nearshore Mangroves AM Trip. on June 8, 20263 adults1 child

Damian was first class in every aspect. His boat was new and in great condition, he was welcoming and friendly, and he provided exceptional service throughout the entire trip. We did the 4-hour trip out to the reef beds and he had us on fish almost the entire time. I have three boys (ages 19-10) and they all three had a blast, saying, “it was the best trip ever.”. We caught snapper, hogfish, porgies, and jacks. My youngest son even hooked a mackerel and fought it for a few minutes before it cut the line. We had barracuda on the hook on two separate occasions so there was plenty of activity for the entire trip. We will definitely come fishing here again, but I will never use another captain other than Damian. I have neen on chartered trips before, and “Catching in the Keys” is on a different level of service. Do yourself a favor and book with them.

Awesome Key Largo Fishing Experience!! Great Captain!!
3 Hour Scenic Fishing Tour. PM Trip on April 20, 20262 adults

We had an incredible experience with Catchin In The Keys Charters in Key Largo—hands down the best fishing charter we’ve ever been on in the Upper Keys. My son and I have been on several fishing charters, and this one truly stood out above the rest. Captain Damian was outstanding. He worked tirelessly the entire trip, constantly adjusting and making sure we were in the best spots. You can tell he really knows Key Largo fishing—we were on fish consistently, and it felt like he always knew exactly where to go. Luckily the fish were hungry, but just as important, the captain knew how to find them. If you’re looking for a top-notch fishing charter in Key Largo or the Upper Keys, I highly recommend Catchin In The Keys Charters. Professional, hardworking, and an all-around great experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing - life long memories made!
4 Hour Shallow Reefs (10-50ft) on July 24, 20264 adults

My friend and our two 13 year old sons booked a 4 hour trip with Captain Damian at “Catchin In The Keys”. It was a great day. Captian Damian served us magnificently from the beggining of our trip until the end. We brought home 23 fish and threw back about 15. Capt Damian kept each line baited and in the water as much as possible. He also interacted intentionally with our sons - which was very important. When I asked my son- “How did you like the trip?” He responded - “I loved it - I really liked the Captain!” Exceeeded all expectations - recommend highly!! .

Perfect scenic fishing day
3 Hour Scenic Fishing Tour. PM Trip on May 26, 20263 adults

Captain Damian was a great host for this fishing trip. We are from Europe and wanted to experience some Keys fishing action and he definitely did not let us down. He knew all the best spots and was so so helpful, working the whole time without rest, making sure we had the best experience ever. Huge thanks to Captain Damian for this amazing day. If we ever come back to the Keys, we will for sure be reaching out to him again. 10/10, would honestly highly recommend! Of course, plenty of fish were caught as well :)

Although new into the guiding/chartering business, i have been in the fishing/marine industry for over 6 years. I am the owner of JD Outdoor Adventures Bait&Tackle in Miami Fl, Key Largo Fl, and JD's Marina Key Largo. I have been fishing since i could stand up on my own being raised in the upper keys, driving boats since i was about 8 years and operating my own personal vessels since i was 16. I have well over a few thousand hours on the water. I spend alot of time in the Backwaters of the Upper Keys or heading west into Everglades National Park (Flamingo). Chasing Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Trout, Jacks, Snapper and Grouper. Just around the corner we have plenty of Patch Reef fishing if deep sea isnt your vibe. We can fish shallow reefs in less then 30ft of water and catch plenty of different of species and great eating fish as well. if the deep blue is your vibe! we can definitely do that as well!
