You will be fishing aboard a 24’ Pathfinder center console boat powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine to get you to the fish fast. Featuring a full complement of navigational electronics and safety gear, the boat has a spacious live bait tank and an icebox as well as plenty of storage for your belongings. With a large T-Top and ample seating, the boat is just right for a relaxing day on the water.
All the rods, reels, and tackle you will need will be supplied by the captain, who will also take care of fishing licenses for your whole party. While he practices catch and release to preserve the area’s delicate ecosystem, Capt. Joey is also happy to clean and fillet some fish for you to take home for a delicious dinner.
With a boat that is perfect for both drift fishing and anchored fishing, you have a variety of fishing options available. You’ll use both live and artificial bait carried on board so you can have a varied and effective fishing trip.
Fishing the scenic waters around the Marco Island area, you could expect to catch Redfish, Trout, Snook, and even the Silver King – Tarpon. Travel further out to the nearshore waters and reefs, and Capt. Joey could put you on Sheepshead, Grouper, large Black Drum, Sharks, Spanish Mackerel, and Tripletail.

Just a note to say you really need to book a Joey ds charter. You won't be disappointed. My husband and I have been on a few with him in the past and I just booked another one for his birthday. So much fun. I highly recommend it.

Afternoon half day inshore trip with Capt. Dick
Half Day Trip on March 15, 2021
I went with a buddy of mine and we tried a few spots with some luck on Mangrove Snapper. Then we moved to a few spots in the Mangroves before Capt Dick took us to his “spot” I hooked a Giant Jack and boy it gave me quite a fight. I thought I lost it in the mangroves but was able to get it out and finally land the fish. Awesome. We hit on a few mini tarpon and we moved to another spot for some snook. We caught a couple be before calling it a day. All in a great day of fishing and fun.

Half Day Trip on January 7, 2021
Captain Dickey led us on a great experience. We saw bald eagles and osprey catching fish. We saw a couple manatee and we we had dolphins surfing in the wake of our boat. Fish weren’t biting great in the beginning, but our captain took us to several spots he knew and finally for the last hour and a half we caught about 12 fish and missed a dozen more. Great fun. No snow shovel.
