Depending on conditions, you might hook into Walleye, and who knows what else! On these trips, it's common to troll using light or heavy tackle. Sometimes, when the bite is really hot, Captain Matt will bust out the light tackle and cast for trophy walleye.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to keep up those energy levels!
Your boat for the day is a 26' Century walkaround with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures. Live bait is available,
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

For over thirty years I have been on chartering boats in the the Great Lakes to all the surrounding oceans of this beautiful contry and NEVER had an experience like I did with Captain Matt. There are no words other than to say he is exceptional and truly believes in customer satisfaction. He will be a life long annual trip with me, my sons, and hopefully my grandchildren (when they are old enough). Captain Matt will everyone catch quality fish on the lake. First in class!

We went for my wifes birthday! Captain Matt was a consummate professional. We caught our limit within a couple hours! He knew exactly where to go to find the big ones. We caught 2 trophy size 26" walleye while out! Matt was courteous, knowledgeable and safe. He even gave us recommendations on where we could go to have our fish cooked up for us fresh! Incredible experience. I looked for a long time trying to find the perfect charter for her birthday and I feel as though I found the best one on lake Erie. Thanks Again Matt!

Matt was an amazng captain, our trip was exactly what we was expecting. he's very hands on for different experience levels and explains everything he's doing so you can learn. His boat and equipment was all nice and up to date. he took us out and put us right on the fish we limited out with a 5 man crew. it was suck an amazing time lots of memories and laughs. I highly recommend matt with lake Erie escape, my family was happy and excited just like your family will so don't wait and hit the water with matt you won't regret it.

Captain Matt definitely knows what he's doing! We had two kids with us, and he was fantastic with them, keeping everyone engaged and making sure we had a great time. He kept us on fish all day—we caught our limit and even landed a few really nice ones. Highly recommend fishing with Captain Matt!
