J Rev Outdoors LLC
Lake Reno has a fish with your name on it, so let J Rev Outdoors help you catch it! Reno has a great mix of fish with an opportunity to catch a trophy of any species. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Jason can tell you all about the local fishery.
You're likely to go after Walleye, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Crappie, Sunfish, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year. During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks to keep 'em happy!
You'll be welcome aboard a 18' Lund aluminum fishing boat with space for 3 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Jason will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Jason Revermann is an all-around sportsman with an extreme passion for fishing. Much of his childhood was spent fishing local lakes and rivers across central Minnesota catching anything and everything that swam those waters. Jason recalls the early years of fishing with his family in a small Lund mostly targeting panfish but also seeking the fight of a largemouth bass or northern pike. As a youngster, he recalls grabbing that old rusty blue hand auger and seeking out fish away from the crowds, then later rigging summer electronics to a wooden box just to see more of what was going on below the ice. Jason continues to refine the search for fish away from the crowds but the tools he uses and trusts have advanced to high-tech electronics and fast-cutting electric augers. Walleyes would be Jason's favorite species to target but he also fishes for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, crappies, bluegills, catfish, and more. Jason enjoys sharing tips and tactics with others to help them be more successful anglers throughout the year. He is a social media guru and helps manage multiple hunting and fishing-related pages including Outdoor News, MN-FISH, and more. Over the years Jason has taken many people out fishing and assisted and educated them on new tactics and techniques to locate and catch more fish. For Jason fishing isn't just a pastime but it is part of who he is. He enjoys sharing his passion with others and helping them become more successful anglers!
