If you're ready to have fun fishing in Milwaukee, look no further than Fire in the Wire Sportfishing. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Jason can tell you all about the local fishery.

Fishing around here will often see you targeting Brown Trout, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Lake Trout, and more with any luck. On these trips, you can expect to troll.

Children are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. You're welcome to bring snacks to keep up those energy levels!

You'll be fishing aboard a 22' Ranger sportfishing boat that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with downriggers, everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures.

You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

It's recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Now's the time to experience fishing in Milwaukee for yourself, with Fire in the Wire Sportfishing!

A Charter Worth Repeating
Morning trip on June 27, 20262 adults

This was the first charter fishing trip for both Shane and me, so we were excited but didn’t really know what to expect beyond hoping to catch a few fish. Captain Jason made it a fantastic experience from start to finish. We didn’t get into a nonstop bite, but the weather was beautiful, the fishing was enjoyable, and Jason worked hard to put us in the best position to be successful. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely wanted us to have a great time. We finished the day 4 for 4—three king salmon and one lake trout—and we couldn’t have been happier. We can’t wait to get these fillets home and on the grill. Thanks, Captain Jason, for making our first charter trip one we’ll definitely remember!

What a Great Captain
Morning trip on July 12, 20261 adult

Jason went above and beynd to ensure I had a great fishing experience. He took the time to answer all of my questions about the boat, equipment and fishing in general. He constantly changed equipment to match thr environment in order to increase thr likelihood of making a catch. We ended up catch four really nice sized Rainbow Trout and King Salmon. By the end of the trip he felt like an old friend.

A Great Lake adventure.
Morning trip on September 19, 20251 adult

Jason was a great guide and was very knowledgeable on multiple species. He made sure to tailor my experience to what I had never tried in my fishing adventures. The wind was calm enough to journey out onto the big lake and troll for Kings. Started out with a rollercoaster of emotions as we had hooked a nice one that made several long runs, and when we thought the fight was nearly over it shook the hooks just short of nettable distance. We did manage to get one in the boat, and I experienced several fights throughout the day. A lot was learned, and I am very grateful for the experience. Thank you, Captain Jason.

I have fished for 40+ years, 8 years on the great lakes for salmon and trout. I am a multi species angler which has helped me overall become a better angler. I love to introduce people to fishing the great lakes and love to watch people catch fish and experience the joy that comes with it. Also, for them to get to eat their catch.
