Book your next trip with Australian Sportfishing Charters and find out what makes the fishing in Cairns so unique.

Black Marlin, Great Barracuda, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Giant Trevally, Skipjack Tuna, Wahoo, Barramundi, and more could be biting, depending on conditions. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Dan also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks!

Note that you will be fishing from the 'Wild Turkey' a purpose built 34' custom
sportfishing vessel. It comes with all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.

Capt. Dan will supply rods and reels for you. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.
