We’ve racked up over 10+ tournament victories in Salmon-A-Rama within our family and bring that same drive and expertise to every charter. All you have to bring is your fishing license and whatever snacks you'd like—we’ll handle the rest!

When winter settles in, we shift gears and target two of the most exciting species you can catch through the ice—Steelhead and Brown Trout. These hard-fighting, cold-water giants are a true test of skill and a thrill for any angler.

Fishing in harbors and nearshore areas of Lake Michigan, we focus on proven locations where big browns and chrome-bright steelhead cruise beneath the ice. We provide heated shanties, high-end rods, reels, and electronics to give you the best shot at landing a fish of a lifetime.

I had an amazing experience fishing with Captain Nate! He was super knowledgeable, patient, and made the trip really enjoyable from start to finish. I’m new to fresh water fishing so this was my first salmon ever. Nate walked me through everything step by step and helped me land my very first one! You can tell he really knows the water and where the fish are biting. The whole trip was well-organized, relaxed, and fun. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced angler, I highly recommend booking with Nate. It was definitely a day to remember, and I’ll be coming back for another trip for trout and steelhead season soon!

Sunset King bite

Half Day Trip – Salmon (PM) on July 29, 2025

We got out about an hour later than we planned. Traffic was bad because the Brewer’s were playing the Cubs right when we were supposed to be meeting Nate at the dock! Turns out it didn’t matter. We launched got out to deep water and setup. We didn’t even have all our lines in the water and we had a fish on. Nate knew what to use and where to go. He has been fishing Lake Michigan his whole life. I am impressed with the way he is using this as a minstry as well. I would recommend using Casting for Christ as a guide. Not only do you get a knowledgeable captain, you support a great cause!

Half day evening trip with Captain Nate.

Half Day Trip – Salmon (PM) on September 22, 2025

Caught four large king salmon. The largest was over 20 pounds. Most in the 15 pound range. Lost another five or six. Caught mostly trolling. We also jigged and fished with skein under bobbers. Captain Nate is very accommodating to do whatever type of fishing we wanted to do, but is also very focused on putting fish in the boat. Highly recommend to anyone looking to catch some big fish on Lake Michigan in great company. We fished out of McKinley Marina in the harbor. We enjoyed Nate and the fishing so much that we booked again for the following Saturday morning.

Best salmon fishing I ever had!!!!

Half Day Trip – Salmon (AM) on July 8, 2025

I brought my son-in-law out fishing before he was being deployed and we decided to go out on a charter with Nate. The experience was far above my expectations. I typically do not write reviews but in this case, I wanted to. We went out fishing early morning and Nate had us on the kings fast. I had never experienced so much action. We were catching kings sometimes two at a time and all of them were nice size. When the bite slowed, Nate quickly had us switch out colors on the jigs and we were back on them. We limited out by 10 am and capped off the best morning I have ever had on Lake Michigan. I have been telling my friends and family about Nate and will definitely go out again. He is one of the most knowledgeable Lake Michigan captains I have ever met. Thank you Nate and hope to see you again soon!!!!
