HARDEST WORKING CREW
6 Hour – Swansboro Inshore Trip on August 26, 20261 adult

WENT TO NEARSHORE WATERS TO CATCH MACKERAL. THEY WERE A LITTLE SLOW BUT STEADY. MOST WERE UNDER SIZED BUT GOT A FEW KEEPERS. ONE NICE SIZED ONE. THEN WE WENT TO A DIFFERENT AREA AND TRIED SOME BOTTOM JIGGING. CAUGHT A VARIETY OF FISH THERE. NO KEEPERS THERE. DUE TO MY AGE AND HEALTH I ASKED TO GO INSHORE AND TRY SOME FISHING.' CREW AGREED EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD TO CHANGE TACKLE AND RIGS. WENT TO TRY CASTING FOR DRUM WITH NO RESULTS. MOVED NEAR A BRIDGE AND DID SOME JIGGING AND THE MATE TRIED SOME BOTTOM FISHING. GOT A FEW SMALL BOTTOM FISH. MOVED TO ANOTHER SPOT AND WE CAST FOR MACKERAL AND BLUEFISH. LOTS OF BAIT IN WATER BUT NO SUCESS. SWITCHED TO BOTTOM FISHING AGAIN. SUCESS RATE WAS GREAT, PROBABLY A DOZEN VARIETIES OF SMALL BOTTOM FISH. SOME WERE PANFISH SIZE AND COULD HAVE MADE A MEAL, CREW AND BOAT WERE GOOD FOR A FAMILY WITH CHILDREN FOR A BOTTOM FISHING TRIP. LOTS OF BITES AND CREW VERY ATTENTIVE!

Day trip with Captain Jimmy
6 Hour Trip – Nearshore (AM) on September 3, 2025

Cap'n Jimmy is very knowledgeable about the local waters and worked hard to get us on the fish and keep our rods bent!! We caught reds, blue fish, mackerel, flounder, sharks, sea bass, and much more. Going near shore off the beach was an awesome time and one of our guys hooked into a monster fish that ended up winning the long fight! His charter comes with everything you need for fishing artificial lures or live bait. All you need is a cooler to bring home the fish your sure to catch! Thanks Cap'n, we'll be back!!

My name is James (Jamie) Grady. I have been a lifelong sportsman who has enjoyed fishing and hunting around the world. My roots are based in eastern NC, as a young man who grew up fishing for bass, bluegill and catfish. As a young man, I hunted for squirrels, rabbits, and whitetail deer. I have always desired to be involved in conservation and preserving our resources for future generations to enjoy. However, my life took a different path when I joined the Army to serve my country. I joined the active Army in 1993 and traveled to Germany, Alaska, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Colorado, and three separate, year-long, tours in Iraq. I was fortunate to hunt and fish in each of those places. Germany and Iraq were limited to fishing opportunities, but I enjoyed the great outdoors nonetheless. I have been fortunate to witness glorious sunrises and sunsets around the globe while creating memories as I was on numerous occasions. Since my retirement in 2016, I have purchased a boat, fully outfitted with boater safety equipment, fishing equipment, duck decoys and a two-person layout boat. I am a fully credentialed USCG-approved Charter Captain, NC state licensed guide, Insured, and fully certified. I maintain a drug and alcohol-free vessel with drug-testing enrollment. I love spending time on the water and in the woods with my fellow outdoorsmen and women. Now that I am retired and able to dedicate myself to conservation, it is my true desire to make sure I give back t
