Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also remember to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Capt. Michael operates a 17' Skimmer flats boat with room for 2 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures, but you may bring your own fly fishing or conventional tackle if you'd like.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and clothing suited for sunny days and unexpected rain. Water will be available for you, but please bring you own lunch. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Had a great day on the water with Capt Michael fishing Flamingo and Florida Bay. He knows these waters inside and out, put us on fish, and was happy to share his knowledge about the area, the species, and the techniques he was using. What really stood out was his patience. He took the time to help us dial things in without ever making us feel rushed or like we were a bother. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and wants his clients to have a good time. Highly recommend booking a trip with him. Would absolutely fish with Capt Michael again.

Michael was great. We started early and he showed me some great spots. We had lots of opportunities and he was very helpful as the day progressed. Definitely recommend for anyone learning about the Glades on the Fly!
