If you're ready to get hooked on fishing in Cabo San Lucas, book a trip with Speedwell Cabo. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Victor knows them forwards and back.
Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Longbill Spearfish, Roosterfish, Swordfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Amberjack, Striped Marlin, Wahoo, and more could be biting if you come at the right time of year. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Victor can also have you kite fishing.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board.
Capt. Victor runs a 38' Pesca Deportiva with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board. The crew can make some food for you, such as sashimi, ceviche or other type of dish, depending on your catch.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Speedwell Cabo!
