If fishing in Hudson is on your bucket list, look no further than Lateral Line Charters. Captain Chris will be your guide, giving you access to their angling experience.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Gag Grouper, Goliath Grouper, Tiger Shark, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Cobia, Black Drum, and whatever else takes the bait. For these species, you're likely to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Lateral Line Charters is a kid-friendly charter service, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your excursion begins aboard a 23' Pathfinder Center console with room for 5 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don't forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Our trip exceeded expectations in every way. My family and I were specifically targeting sheephead, and we ended up catching the largest ones we’ve ever seen. The captain knew exactly where to go and how to adjust to conditions, which made all the difference. He was professional, personable, and great with the entire family. The boat was clean, the gear was solid, and the overall experience felt safe and well-run. It’s clear he takes pride in what he does. We highly recommend this charter and look forward to booking another trip soon.
Captain Chris was knowledgeable about the area and and helped my grandkids get on the fish.He kept them engaged and showed them how to bait their hooks and handle the fish. I would definitely recommend him.
Capt Chris put us on fish and we left with a limit of filleted sheepshead and a bonus snapper. Lost several good fish to hungry goliath groupers, but it was a thrill to fight with those brutes for a while. Capt Chris provided top notch equipment and plenty of chum and live bait. For a great experience at a reasonable rate, look for Capt Chris D'angelone at Lateral Lines.
I took my daughter and her boyfriend on a 6 hour trip with Chris. From the beginning he demonstrated his knowledge of the waters, fish, and techniques to make our trip successful. Once we arrived to our first spot we immediately began catching Mangrove Snapper and had multiple hits on the elusive Grouper. Captain Chris made sure we had the best set up leading to hooking and reeling in a 24in Grouper. Overall it was a great day full of fish and fun! Highly recommended booking a trip with Captain Chris!
