Cape Coral Bass Fishing Charters
Cape Coral Bass Fishing Charters specializes in fishing Cape Coral's freshwater canals for Largemouth and Peacock Bass, and sometimes Pan Fish for the kids as we are a family friendly guide service.
The Bass in Cape Coral's canals are a bit smaller than the Florida giants we typically hope for but the safe calm inland waters offer a peaceful local day on the water with very rarely any wind or boat waves, and sea sickness is rarely a worry on the very calm waters and almost never have wind cancellations compared to Salt Water Charters that are frequently canceled by SW Floridas typical windy days and rough waters.
After nearly 20 years of doing almost exclusively Offshore charters and having hundreds of weather cancelations over the years we decided to switch to inland Bass fishing trips because our clients and our business are less weather effected.
We offer 4 and 6 hour trips at $100 per hour for 1 or 2 anglers, extra daily charge of $50 per person after 2, max 4 guests.
We mostly use artificial lures which will be provided as well as Spinning and Bait Casting rods and reels.
Florida Freshwater fishing licenses are not provided and can be purchased online through FWC.
Live minnows or Shiners upon request for $18 dozen, if available.
We fish out of a fully rigged Skeeter FX21 Bass Boat, some locations we fish do have a bathroom available, if you would like to be close to a bathroom please let your captain know when planning your trip with him so he can choose a launching location that can accommodate that need.
Owned/operated by Retired Offshore Captain and Professional Bass Tournament Champion Skip Johnson, and his son Captain Seth Johnson.
We fish 4 or 5 different departure locations depending on water conditions and the place the Captain feels the anglers have the best fishing opportunities.

Skip was a great guide! wr didn’t catch a boatload of fish but it was a slow day. chatting, fishing, not working, floating in the middle of lilly pads, soooo worth it. I’ve been pike/muskie/smallie fishing in the north for 25 years. I was invited to a wedding in FL and wanted to learn southern largemouth techniques and Skip helped me out. Can’t say slow jigging is as fun as hurling a 2oz bucktail or spinnerbait or working a crank or stickbait but it worked and I learned! Skip’s a Great guy!

Thank you Mack, it was a pleasure meeting you.
Helle I am Skip Johnson, your fishing guide. I am a retired BassMaster and FLW Tour Professional Competitor with many Championship titles. I am also a retired Offshore charter and commercial fishing Captain. Fishing is my career, not just a hobby or weekend side hustle and Bass Fishing is my true specialty, after many years of rough seas and weather cancelations I have gone back to where my love of fishing began and has always been, and that is Bass Fishing. I truly enjoy sharing it with everyone and I look forward to meeting you.
