Captain Wilfred Leslie welcomes you aboard a 23’ custom-built flats boat that can comfortably carry up to 4 anglers of all skill levels. Fully overhauled in 2018, it features the latest and the best safety gear, a reliable Mercury four-stroke engine, handheld GPS with a compass and navigation lights, a live bait tank, and an ice-box to keep your drinks cool and refreshing. On board, you’ll also be able to go snorkeling.
Get ready for some exciting inshore, nearshore, reef, and flats fishing! Captain Wilfred will show you the most productive spots known only to locals and the most efficient fishing techniques. This will include bottom fishing, trolling, spinning, and even fly fishing if you bring your own gear.
All other fishing equipment and bait will be covered by the charter. You’ll be using shrimp and sardines, or frozen bait. Depending on the bite and the trip type, you could be reeling in the likes of Cobia, Barracuda, Spanish Mackerel, and a variety of Snapper (Mangrove, Mutton, Yellowtail).
Drinks are also included on all charters – just bring any food you’d like to have on your trip.

Full Day Trip – Fish+Snorkel+BBQ on June 26, 2025
We spent an amazing day out with Captain Willy. He comes from multiple generations of fisherman and his knowledge goes far beyond just fish. He knows so much about the reef and the island - and is a damn good cook. The meal be made for us from the barracuda and various snapper species we caught with his expert guidance, was fantastic (and included silverware, haha). The ceviche and coconut rice were the best we’ve had in Belize! The guided snorkeling tour to finish the day was also perfect - we even saw sea turtles and a moray eel. Thank you, Captain Willy for a truly special day!!

Full Day Trip – Reef Fishing on July 6, 2025
This was our third trip with Captain Wilfred, and he delivered again. He made sure we got on the fish and had fun doing it. Our two kids joined us this time, and Captain Wilfred convinced my daughter to fish and she caught some snapper. She even had fun doing it! My son was able to land a nice barracuda, too. Captain Willy is Great
Full Day Trip – Fish+Snorkel+BBQ on May 6, 2025
Captain Willy was at the pick up spot early, took us out to catch some live bait then we headed to the reef and got on fish immediately, had to have caught 50+ fish between the two of us in the trip! After a we rinsed up the bait he took us to a near by beach and cooked the fish we had just caught. Easily some of the best ceviche I’ve ever had! After that he took us out to the reef for some snorkeling. Pops had a hard time in the water and Willy was right there to help him out. Do yourself a favor and book a full day fishing, bbq, and snorkeling with Captain Willy and I guarantee you won’t regret it. Thanks for everything today Willy 🙏🏽

Fantastic day adventure with Willy
Full Day Trip – Fish+Snorkel+BBQ on February 2, 2025
Great communication before the trip! Willy met us on our dock and was early too! We first went fishing and Willy always kept the bait on our hooks. We caught fish at every stop and Willy had his GPS dialed into his favorite fishing spots which produced many different species of fish! Wonderful time fishing with such an experienced guide! Then Willy took us to a beach so we could stretch our legs while he cooked us lunch on the back of his boat. He first diced up the vegetables and fish for the best tasting ceviche we have ever tasted! Willy also provided a cooler of liquid refreshments and then served us the main course! Our fresh fish, served two ways, that we caught with coconut rice and potatoes! Such a wonderful and flavorful meal! The third adventure was the snorkeling! Willy took us towards the reef not too far out away from the shore. Willy knew the area and he helped us with our diving gear making us feel safe in the water. He joined us and trout along a floatation device to help us if need be. We explored a coral reef with many different varieties of fish! Even seen a nurse shark and a moray eel in the coral! Fantastic time! Willy has a safe boat with a canopy for shade. A ladder to get in and out of the boat during the snorkeling adventure too. Overall a wonderful and safe adventure day with Willy!

Captain Willy is the best on the island. 37 years of experience, local knowledge, and works to make your trip memorable. We ran several miles to get us on fish. I’ve been on three other chartered trips out of San Pedro and this was by far the most enjoyable and the best “inside the reef”. He owns and operates his own boat and picked us up with live bait in the tank. I would recommend at any skill level but highly recommend if you and your crew have some level of fishing experience. I wouldn’t go with anyone else from here on out. Looking forward to our next trip!
