If you're ready to experience fishing in Canyon Lake, we've got you covered with Ranger Outfitters. Captain Addison (Al) Thompson will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from his local experience.
These waters are known for Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Striped Bass, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some. For these species, you're likely to use conventional bass fishing methods including using different lures as well as live bait. Capt. Al also offers fly fishing upon request.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! You will need to provide life jackets for children-youth life vests are not available on board. On full day charters we provide lunch in addition to the snacks and drinks that we provide on each of our charters!
Your vessel for the day is a 24' Center console Blue Wave T-Top with capacity for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it when you book so we can ensure we have it for your trip.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't forget to bring sunblock (non-spray), your fishing license, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Alcohol will NOT be provided by the charter.

Captain Addison was one of the best fishing captains i’ve had. Very patient with us getting our lines caught on all types of stuff. Offered us drinks and snacks which was very nice of him to do so. Also had a very nice center console boat which was nice to be on as well. Fishing was down a little bit but we still had all types of fun. We only did a half trip as i was unsure how the rest of the party felt about being on a boat all day, but the moment we got back to the car they said we should have done a full day. 5/5 experience. Would recommend!

Captain Addison was an amazing guide! He was well equipped, VERY knowledgeable and made our trip so much fun. I mentioned I booked his trip for my birthday and his very sweet wife arranged cupcakes and candles for me! I will definitely be booking with him in the future!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
