There's a fish with your name on it in Golfito and Marina Bahia Golfito will help you catch it! With Captain Tommy at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Mahi Mahi, Almaco Jack, African Pompano Jack, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Cubera Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, and more could be biting if conditions are right. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Tommy also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Young ones are welcome, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks!
You'll be fishing aboard a 32' Contender center console with space for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.
Marina Bahia Golfito will make it easy for you to go fishing in Golfito.
