Aalska Yacht Expeditions is all about fishing the stunning waters of Ketchikan. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Raymond can tell you all about the local fishery.

These waters are known for Salmon, Halibut, Black Rockfish, Crab, Shrimp and more – with any luck, they'll make your reel scream.

During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Raymond also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! No need to bring snacks – luckily, Capt. Raymond will have some on board!

You'll be dropping lines from a 82' Motor yacht that holds up to 6 passengers. It has downriggers, all the essentials. There's toilets and showers on board for your convenience, and comfortable cabins for sleeping.

You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.

You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don't leave home without warm clothing. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. There will be hearty Alaskan meals and snacks provided on board.
