There's a fish with your name on it in Islamorada and SendIt Sportfishing will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Michael is prepared to put you on fish.
These waters are known for Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Sailfish, Blackfin Tuna, Mutton Snapper, Silk Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Black Grouper, Red Grouper, Caribbean Queen Snapper, Permit, African Pompano Jack, and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself!
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Michael can also show you kite fishing.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Water, Ice and cooler provided.
Your adventure begins aboard a 33' Center console with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
You can't go wrong when you bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
