Garciacharters is all about fishing the stunning waters of Yelapa. Your guide for the day is Captain Luis, giving you access to their knowledge and experience.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Amberjack, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Skipjack, Sailfish, Red Snapper, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Skipjack Tuna, Jack Crevalle, Horse-eye Jack, Roosterfish, Blue Marlin, and whatever else takes the bait.
You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Your fishing machine for the day is a 28' Sportfishing with room for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Rods and reels are not covered by the charter, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Before coming aboard, it may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
