Book your next trip with Shejara Sportfishing and find out what the fishing in Guanajibois all about. With Captain Rafael at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
These waters hold game fish like Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Wahoo, White Marlin, Blue Marlin, Great Barracuda, Bonefish, Bowfin, Snook, Tarpon, Permit, Caribbean Queen Snapper, Snapper (Blackfin), and more, depending on the season.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Rafael also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Capt. Rafael operates a 23' Center console with space for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials.
Capt. Rafael will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
A few items to bring include bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Lunch is provided, just reach out to learn more, especially if you have any dietary needs.
