Reel Life Fishing Charters is here to help you experience the stunning waters of Rio Hondo. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Dan can tell you all about them.
These waters are known for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You'll be casting lines from a 22' Bay boat that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, time to hit the water with Reel Life Fishing Charters!
