Welcome to Headwaters, Lake Garcia and Stickmarsh Lakes and canals near Fellsmere!! Your guide for the day is Captain Art Ferguson (4 time Bassmaster Classic Qualifier). Fish with a guide of 35 years so you can benefit from his professional experience.
Largemouth Bass are the target fish. We practice catch and release and you have a great opportunity to catch the PB (personal best) Bass of your life!
On these trips, we fish both lures and shiners, depending on what you want to achieve.
You'll be fishing from a 22' Triton center console boat with room for 4 passengers. It has all upgraded equipment to get the most out of your experience! Rods and reels are covered by the charter. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.
Children are allowed and encouraged! Just watch out for the Gators!
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Captain Art put us fish, artificial and shiner. 20+ fish with one over 5 and 4 over 4. Good equipment and the boat fishes great. Would definitely recommend for any trips to the Headwaters or other lakes in the area.

Meanwhile, I've been guiding full time since 1990 on Lake St. Clair, Lake Erie, Detroit River and on St. Clair River. I also guide in Northern Michigan. I've learned and honed my skills and now enjoy teaching novice to professional anglers how to better approach bass and techniques to catch them! I guide in Central Florida for Bass in the winter months and enjoy the change in scenery, warm temperatures and giant Bass!! 2026 will be my 35th year guiding in Florida!
