With over a quarter of a century of experience fishing the plentiful Canary Island waters, the crew of Fish On knows all the right spots and tried-and-true techniques for reeling in the best of the best. Operating out of Pasito Blanco, Captain Pedro Betancor is on the water every day, running charters or just fishing with his friends.
Join him on his 35' Cata 356 sportfishing catamaran built in Alicante in 2001. This beauty can take up to 10 anglers fishing in full comfort at a top cruising speed of up to 23 knots thanks to its twin 315 HP MAN engines.
'Fish On' is packed with top-of-the-line electronics, including GPS, radar, sounder, and the latest safety gear. It also comes with a fighting chair, outriggers, ice chests, and a restroom for full comfort on longer trips.
The captain will show you the most efficient ways to best heavyweights such as Blue Marlin, Bluefin, Yellowfin, Skipjack, Longfin, Bigeye Tuna, and a variety of bottom fish with the help of light tackle. If you come during March and September, you'll mostly do trolling and focus on bottom fishing from October to February.
You'll get to keep your catch, but the crew will take over if it's 5 kilos or more. Please note that Marlin and Bluefin Tuna and strictly catch and release.
The charter comes with the use of world-class quality Shimano and Fin-Nor fishing gear, along with lures. Water, sodas, and beer are available on all trips free of charge, and sandwiches are available on longer trips (5-hour or longer trips).
Have kids older than 6? The captain will be happy to teach them everything he knows about fishing and make sure they have an incredible time on the water.

I’d give this 10 out of 5 stars—unfortunately, the scale only goes up to 5. Catching a blue marlin had always been a dream of mine, inspired by the first book of mine by Ernest Hemingway. Pablo picked me up from the hotel, and I knew right away that the day was bound to be a success. Upon arriving at the harbor, I met Christian, who also gave me a warm welcome. I was pushed to my physical and mental limits. We hooked four blue marlin and landed three of them; sadly, we lost one just 20 meters from the boat. The last two took the bait simultaneously, but that was no problem for this crew. For me, this was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I can highly recommend it—and a huge thank you to Pablo and Christian.
Brilliant afternoon trolling for Marlin. Sadly did not hook up, but that is why its called fishing and not catching. p Pedro and his brother tried everything and worked hard for the whole trip to get us on a fish. Had a bonus school of dolphins swim with the boat for a while and food and drink on board was great. if we end up back in Gran Canaria we will definitely book with Fish On again. A spacious clean and well organised boat with a crew that obviously knows what they are doing. 10 stars! Thank you for an awesome afternoon fishing.
The fishing trip with Pedro was a fantastic experience. The boat is super spacious, which allowed us to move around comfortably and enjoy every moment of the day on the water without feeling cramped. Plus, the outing was very productive: we caught plenty of fish and each catch got us even more excited. The price is very competitive for everything included in the service, especially compared to other similar options in the area. I also have to highlight Pedro and Pablo's service: both are very friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the very first moment. They were key to making this such a positive and fun experience. Without a doubt, I would do this trip again and would recommend it both to fishing enthusiasts and to those looking for a different and complete day out on the water.
It was a really wonderful day with Pedro and his crew. Both of them were super friendly and accommodating right from the start. We left on time and headed straight to the first spot. There we got right into it with live bait fishing. Worked great, we had a good amount together very quickly. After that we headed straight out to about 120m depth for amberjack where we managed to land a small one after a short time. The big ones unfortunately weren't really biting but oh well, that's fishing. After that we headed back closer to shore and were able to catch several barracuda in no time. Pure fun. That was the end of our wonderful trip. We can only recommend it to everyone. You can't always catch something but Pedro does his absolute best to make it work.
great crew and very welcoming . everyone had a great time especially my grandson who caught his first fish at sea . he is smiling from ear to ear and the crew made a reall effort in making a great expereince for him . thanks Pedro and crew . will be booking again .
