Catfishing trips are on fire for the summer bite!!!!! Thats my recommendation until late September ! If you're ready to go fishing on Lake Whitney or the Brazos River above the lake, look no further than Fisher of Men. Having logged many hours on this lake and growing up in the area, David can tell you all about the local fishery.
Sand Bass, Striped Bass, Catfish, and more are in the cards, depending on what time of year you are looking to take a trip. As it heats up the catfish pick up for the summer and the striper and Sandbass slowed down. So if you were just wanting to fill the freezer I would recommend catfish trips throughout the summer.
Depending on the time of year different methods are used for catching the species above.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! When booking, I just need to know how many people will be going under the age of 17 because lifejackets are required.
You'll be welcomed aboard a 24' Xpress center console boat, with room for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials! Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures. Live bait is included certain times of year.
You will need to purchase a Texas fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Different species have different bag limits per person so if you are not aware feel free to ask.
Don't leave home without bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Don't forget to bring snacks!

Captain David didn’t leave anything in the tank to put us on fish. He is super accommodating, knowledgeable and experienced on multiple species on multiple lakes. Great man of faith and integrity! Definitely be booking another outing!

Found lots of fish on the graph, some deep some on the surface. Caught several different species, but mostly small and struggled to get them to bite. Still a most enjoyable experience. Great for the kids.
David was outstanding as our guide on Lake Whitney. The fish were biting slow but David hung in there with my buddy and I until we had a few fish. and they were very nice Stripers. Thanks again.

David was an excellent guide. we stayed on the fish the whole trip. We didn’t catch any keeper Stripers, but we did catch a ton of Sandbass. Highly recommend going with Fisher of Men for your next trip!
Catfishing for 4. well done even on cold morning. we caught 10 filet sized fish. (another group caught 40 on warmer less windy day. Good trip. David Brown knows fish, can guide on several area lakes.
