Depending on conditions, we will be hunting and sightcasting Reds, Trout, Black Drum, and even Sheepshead/Flounder if we see them!
Capt. Hunter specializes in fly and light tackle fishing. Fishing gear, terminal tackle, flies/lures are provided, but feel free to bring your own if you want! Capt. Hunter will coordinate with you ahead of the charter to plan this out.
Shallow Pursuit Adventures welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea to ward off any mid-trip fatigue! For full day charters, lunch/water/ice are provided. For half day charters, ice/water are provided. Feel free to bring other beverages on board!
Capt. Hunter will bring you aboard a 18' Beavertail Osprey Skiff that can carry up to 2 passengers. It has all the essentials you will need for a memorable and fun day on the water!
Ahead of the charter, you will need to purchase a Texas fishing license, but don't forget your hat, sunscreen, polarized sunglasses! Capt. Hunter can always provide sunglasses for you if you need them, just let him know ahead of time so he can coordinate that for you.

USCG Licensed Capt. Hunter Ramos was born & raised in Corpus Christi, TX. He found his love for the outdoors at an early age, growing up spending his time hunting whitetail and fishing on the Texas coast. After graduating from Texas A&M University College Station in 2008, Capt. Hunter spent the next 16 years balancing his passion for fly fishing on the Texas coast with working in the corporate world. Today, you can find Capt. Hunter pursuing his sight casting passions. From hunting tailing redfish on the Texas coast on his Beavertail poling skiff to jumping tarpon on a panga to stalking tailing permit in Belize, Capt. Hunter is a devoted saltwater guide and angler. Capt. Hunter's laid-back personality and knack for positive encouragement work well with beginning anglers and seasoned anglers alike (we only yell at the picky fish we come across). He built a passion for coaching and developing leaders in the corporate world and transitioned that passion into teaching beginners and enriching skillsets of experienced anglers on the bow of his poling skiff. He hopes to assist his anglers find and develop their passion for the sport, and to grow the fly fishing community along the way. Book a trip with Capt. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
