These trips exclusively target medium size catfish that make excellent table fare. While rod and reel fishing may produce larger fish, these trips are after excitement in numbers, and filling the freezer. We have caught 50+ keepers on many trips so fish cleaning is not included in the price, but is available at additional cost.

This is a very easy style of fishing so it makes a great trip for kids of all ages! Please bring a life vest for kids under 12, or let the captain know age/size/weight so one can be provided. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly! If someone in your group tends to be a messy eater, please no Cheetos or skittles.

We have plenty of water and Gatorades for our guests, if you wish to bring your own drinks please bring a SMALL cooler, or preferably we can put them in the onboard cooler. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Your boat for the day is a 22' Bay boat with capacity for 4 passengers. This type of fishing can get a bit hectic, some clients choose to have a group of 3 to allow space for a mate. This is completely optional, discuss your goals for the trip with the captain to ensure the best experience. There is no head onboard. There is usually a porty potty at the ramp.

Capt. Casey will provide all the fishing equipment needed.

Before the trip, you will need a NC fishing license. Almost all of the fishing area is 'joint waters' so coastal or inshore will work. These can be purchased online, ask the captain if you have any questions.
