Florida Man Fishing Charters 

Captain Lucas met us at the dock ready to get to the fishing grounds. Its a short trip to the inlet and we were setting lines in the water within 20 minutes of shoving off from the dock, including a quick stop at the marina. (I recommend getting some live bait) After getting the live bait hooked and set we (myself and 2 sons 15/10) began to jig while the captain, and my 10 year old, intently watched the live bait lines. We caught fish almost immediately on the live bait and not too soon after on the jigs. The boys even had a double up. It was quite the experience to land a Kingfish by jigging your own line off the boat. We landed a bunch of Bonita (not edible, but were a blast to catch), a Kingfish, a mn Almaco Jack, and we made eye contact with a Blackfin Tuna before we quick released it at the boat. (That’s the story I’m going with) After successful bottom fishing (and some tired anglers), Captain Lucas started trolling for the trophy fish. This didn’t yield the results we were all hoping for, but I will say that I’ve never seen a Captain work so hard to catch that one last fish. Without a doubt Captain Lucas is one of the hardest working Captains around, and I think he wanted to catch that last fish more than we did. On top of the fishing, Captain Lucas answered all the questions we asked, and we asked a lot. He explained to us all about the fish we were catching, trying to catch, and even fish that we werent looking for. He knew all about the area, as he is a life long resident of the area. Next time we are in the area we will be booking again with Captain Lucas and Florida Man Fishing Charters.

Captain Lucas gave our family an absolutely incredible fishing trip, and I can't recommend him highly enough. From the moment we got on the boat, he went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time—especially our two kids. He was incredibly attentive to them throughout the trip. When the fishing slowed down, he didn't just wait for the next bite. He kept our 9-year-old daughter completely engaged by showing her the tiny crabs, shrimp, and other sea life living in the seaweed. She was fascinated, and it's something she'll be talking about for a long time. He was also extremely knowledgeable about every fish we caught. Instead of just unhooking them and moving on, he took the time to share interesting facts and little tidbits about each species, turning the trip into a fun learning experience for our kids. It was obvious that he genuinely enjoys teaching and sharing his passion for the water. On top of all that, Captain Lucas was one of the friendliest, most personable captains we've ever met. He made everyone feel welcome, was patient, easy to talk to, and clearly cared about making sure our family had an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a captain who is fantastic with kids, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely loves what he does, Captain Lucas is the one to book. We had an amazing time and will absolutely be back the next time we're in the area!

Our Family had an amazing time with Captain Lucas ✨️He is the great person, great with kids, very informative. He took us for a couple places and showed us different tipe of fishing. We had a lor of fun with Lukas and caught many different species. And the highlight of the trip was catching a tuna; for us, it was our first big catch. Thank you again Captain Lukas. We had an awesome experience on our fishing trip. The captain was amazing — super knowledgeable, friendly, and he literally answered every single question we had. Any fish we pulled up, he knew exactly what it was and had something interesting to say about it. You could tell he really knew his stuff and enjoyed sharing it with us. We ended up catching around 10 different types of fish, which was really cool. Unfortunately, most of them were protected so we could only keep a couple, including mahi-mahi, but honestly the whole experience was worth it either way. We even got to see sea turtles, which made the trip even better. Even if you don’t catch a ton of fish, the captain makes the trip fun and memorable. The whole experience was awesome, and I’d definitely recommend booking with him.

I rated the trip a 4 out of 5 only because of the size of the fish we caught. Many were small but all fought hard. We left the dock at 5pm. Capt. Lucas went over the boat and safety issues then asked us if we were targeting anything specific. I mentioned a few species and off we went. He was very informative and knowledgeable about the area and types of fish we’d encounter. He was quick to respond to lost baits and hooked fish. He was also cautious regarding the wind, waves and our comfort. I hooked a very big fish we unfortunately lost just before I ran out of line!!
