Wolfpack Charters – Ogunquit, Maine

Wolfpack Charters offers light-tackle fishing charters along the beautiful coastline of Ogunquit, Maine. Our primary target is Striped Bass, but depending on the season we may also encounter Bluefish, Atlantic Mackerel, Pogies, Pollock, Sharks, and even the incredible Bluefin Tuna.
From the rugged rocky cliffs along the shoreline to the miles of sandy beaches and productive river mouths, Captain Bill will put you where the fish are biting. Whether you’re an experienced angler or trying fishing for the first time, we’re here to help you catch the fish of a lifetime and have a great time doing it.
Captain Bill Woodward was born and raised on these waters. A commercial fisherman and true waterman, Bill has spent over 40 years working, fishing, surfing, and diving along the southern Maine coast. His deep knowledge of the area gives anglers the best chance to get on the fish — like a pack of wolves.
Most trips focus on light-tackle jigging and casting for Striped Bass and Bluefish, providing an exciting hands-on fishing experience. Bluefin Tuna trips are also available in the fall for anglers looking for a true offshore challenge.
You’ll fish aboard a 23-foot Wellcraft cuddy cabin boat with room for up to 3 passengers, fully equipped for a safe and productive day on the water.
Your captain provides rods, reels, and lures, and on most days the trip begins by catching fresh live bait.
Your fishing license is included with the charter, so all you have to do is show up ready to fish. Captain Bill will also make sure all fishing regulations are followed so you can focus on enjoying the experience.
What to Bring
• Sunglasses
• Bottled water
• Non-spray sunblock
• Snacks or drinks
Up to 3 guests are welcome aboard.
For the best fishing comfort and mobility around the deck, trips are ideally suited to 2–3 anglers.
A liability release waiver will need to be signed before departure.

Great Experience! Highly Recommend
2 Hour Trip – Mackerel / family fun on August 26, 20262 adults

If you’re in Ogunquit, don’t look anywhere else!!! Book now. I brought my two young sons (11, 8) out for a 3 hour trip (which Captain Bill extended to try and ensure we snagged a striper). We caught mackerel, cod and a striper. The boys had a blast. Bill was great, and made sure to be on top of the fish! He knows what he is looking at and doing, and made every effort to ensure the trip hit expectations. He’s also an all around waterman, with decades of experience not only fishing, but surfing in Southern Maine. This gives him a unique eye and understanding of the tides, water depths, currents and the overall fishery.

Awesome day on the water
3 Hour – Striped Bass (PM) on August 31, 20261 adult

Captain Bill put me on striper immediately after getting out on the water. I had already gotten skunked that previous weekend so he made sure to get me on fish as soon as he could, along with going out prior to taking off for fresh mackeral as bait. Used his variety of fishfinding tools along with 40 plus years of experience to help me land three monster striper, with two being over 40 inches. Also got to pull the lobster traps and take home some big lobster. Highly reccomend and will be a returning customer.

Great day on the water
3 Hour – Striped Bass (AM) on June 20, 20262 adults

Captain notified us the day before our trip that high winds would be an issue and asked if we wanted to go out anyway, reschedule or get a refund. We opted to go anyway (father/son outing for Father’s day) and were so glad we did. The captain was REALLY accommodating and despite catching no fish, we had a great time. Planning on going again later in the season. Highly recommend!

Captain Bill is who you want to be with!
3 Hour – Striped Bass (AM) on August 20, 20261 adult2 children

Capt Bill never gave up looking for fish. He was genuinely upset the schools weren’t around and never quit hunting until we finally found them. We caught 3 great Stripers right at the end and he was helpful with baiting and getting us in great position. We can’t wait to book with Wolfpack again. Mike

Capt. Bill holds a USCG 50 ton master license and is a Maine Tidewater Guide. Bill is a born and raised local of York, Maine, who has spent his entire life in and around the waters of southern Maine and the New Hampshire seacoast. From an early age he developed a deep connection to the ocean, learning firsthand how tides, weather, and seasonal fish movements shape the fishing along this rugged and productive coastline. Over the years he has worked in a variety of demanding maritime roles, including commercial lobstering and offshore tuna fishing, gaining practical experience that only comes from long days and early mornings on the water. This hands-on background has given him a strong understanding of boat handling, safety, and how to consistently locate fish in changing conditions. Today, Capt. Bill brings that lifetime of local knowledge and passion to every charter he runs out of Ogunquit. He specializes in light-tackle striped bass fishing and also enjoys introducing guests to the steady action of mackerel and pollock trips that are perfect for families and beginners. Whether you are an experienced angler looking to target trophy fish or simply hoping to enjoy time on the ocean with friends and family, his goal is to provide a relaxed, safe, and memorable fishing experience. Capt. Bill takes pride in sharing what he has learned over decades on these waters and looks forward to helping guests create lasting memories along the beautiful southern Maine coast.
