Depending on the season, you might hook into Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Bull Shark, Hammerhead Shark, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Goliath Grouper, Gag Grouper, Tarpon, Grunt, and whatever else is biting.

You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Merrick also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

Capt Merrick Adventures welcomes kids aboard, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

Your day begins aboard a 24' Bay boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible.

You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
