Book your next trip with Daybreaker Inshore Charters and find out what keeps anglers coming back to St. Petersburg for more. Captain Matt is a 6th generation native who grew up on Tampabay and the surrounding waters, commercial fishing and mating for his father as well as other local Captains. With Captain Matthew at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
These waters are known for Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, Snook, Flounder, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Gag Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Tarpon, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some.
For these species, you're likely to fish multiple ways, ranging from drifting the grass flats for trout, casting to mangrove shorelines for redfish and snook, sight fishing the beach for Tarpon or trolling the ships chanel for Grouper. Capt. Matthew also offers fly fishing, but you will need to bring your own fly gear.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids and pets are absolutely welcome! Captain Matt specializes in Kid friendly Charters! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Don't forget to bring snacks!
Your adventure begins aboard a 22' Center console that can carry up to 4 adult passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live and frozen bait is included.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip!
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
