Liquid Asset Fishing Charters has a trip with your name on it along the stunning waters of Charleston. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Heath knows them forwards and back.
Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Striped Bass, Cobia, Goliath Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Red Snapper, Bigeye Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year.
On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard – bring your favorites so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You'll be fishing aboard a 33' Center console with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
